Bio: Smita Mukherjee has a PhD in Biological Chemistry from University of Pennsylvania and postdoctoral research experience in Alzheimer’s disease from University of Pittsburgh Medical School. She has published her research extensively and has presented at distinguished conferences. In addition to her scientific knowledge, she has expertise in commercialization of academic innovations and business aspects of the biotechnology industry. She has also been consistently active in various managerial and leadership positions in non-profit organizations. Smita is enthusiastic about using her scientific and business acumen to mentor biotech start-ups.
